| WEEK 4 |
| QUARTERBACKS - The Rams decided to bench Marc Bulger and go with Trent Green. The move is a reach; fantasy owners should avoid the situation. The Tyler Thigpen experiment was brief to say the least. Damon Huard is back under center giving Gonzalez and Bowe owners some sense of hope. Brian Griese threw 67 times last week for 407 yards. That’s more of an anomaly because of overtime, rather than a trend. Derek Anderson gets another shot to hold off Brady Quinn. The Bengals are the weakest opponent the Browns have faced, so if he doesn’t get going this week, it’s likely curtains. Injuries: : Donovan McNabb will likely be listed as questionable. Brett Favre is listed as probable.

| RUNNING BACKS - Steve Slaton is this week’s hot waiver wire pickup. He rushed 18 times for 116 yards and a touchdown against a tough Titans defense. He has another challenge against the Jaguars this week, but he’s still an attractive bye week replacement. Willie Parker will sit this week and possibly next week also. Pittsburgh made the call early in the week, giving Rashard Mendenhall a crack at the lineup. Mendenhall is set to receive the majority of the workload, but the Ravens’ defense has been stellar through 2 games. Injuries: LaDainian Tomlinson, Brian Westbrook, Felix Jones, Steven Jackson, Clinton Portis, Willie Parker, Adrian Peterson

| WIDE RECEIVERS - The Giants suspended Plaxico Burress for his next game following the bye week. He filed an appeal, but fantasy owners will have to make plans in case the suspension is upheld. The overtime game between Chicago and Tampa Bay produced some fantastic receiver performances. Antonio Bryant benefited from Joey Galloway’s absence and caught 10 balls for 138 yards. The Bears’ Brandon Lloyd snatched 6 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. Both players are likely to be inconsistent throughout the year, but they can provide some receiver depth on a fantasy roster. Injuries: : Devin Hester, Bryant Johnson, Roscoe Parrish, Sam Hurd, Jerry Porter, James Jones, Kevin Walter, Justin McCareins.

| TIGHT ENDS - Jeremy Shockey needs sports hernia surgery and is scheduled to miss 4-6 weeks. Billy Miller takes over the Saints tight end duties. Vernon Davis has only 4 catches for 68 yards on the season. The Saints have a porous secondary providing him another chance at producing some numbers. Injuries: Ben Utecht, L.J. Smith.
| KICKERS - Ryan Longwell’s 10 field goal attempts this year ranks first. He’s converted on 9 kicks including a 53 yarder. Joe Nedney is tied for second with John Carney at 9 attempts. Nedney connected on 7 and his longest was only 40 yards.

| DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS - The Bills turned in a poor fantasy performance against the Raiders last week. They have a chance to redeem themselves against the hapless Rams, but losing punt returner Roscoe Parrish is a blow. The Broncos pass defense has allowed more yards than any unit this year. |
