The fantasy playoffs are finally nearing. After the first 12 weeks of the season,
there have been a ton of surprises, both good and bad, that have surely
affected some owner’s playoff destiny.
Here’s a look at some of the more interesting developments as we enter
the last part of the year.
Bret Favre has 24 TDs, but only 3 interceptions through 11
games.
Vince Young gets another chance to start and leads the 0-6
Titans to 5 straight victories while posting a 96.9 QB rating.
Robert Meachem is tied with Marques Colston for the Saints
team touchdown leader. (7)
Cedric Benson resurrects his career in Cincinnati totaling
859 yards and 6 TDs before being injured in Week 10.
After taking over as Miami's featured back, Ricky Williams
racks up three straight 100 yard games and is 4th in the league with 9 rushing
TDs.
Ray Rice leads all running backs with 61 receptions.
LaDainian Tomlinson scored 8 touchdowns despite a 3.4 yd
average.
Carson Palmer and Mark Sanchez have just as many rushing TDs
as Matt Forte (3).
Vernon Davis’ 9 receiving TDs has him tied with Reggie Wayne
and Larry Fitzgerald for the league lead and.... Visanthe Shiancoe's 8 TDs has
him tied for 2nd with Vincent Jackson and Miles Austin.
Knowshon Moreno is the only rookie running back on pace for
1000 yards rushing. He'll reach the
plateau if he gets about 15 carries per week and continues at his 4.27 average.
Dan Carpenter would have connected on 14 straight field
goals since week 3.
The Falcons cut Jason Elam after he connects on 12 of 19
field goal attempts.
