OLD INJURIES
Erik Bedard - Shoulder
Progressing
nicely in rehab and is looking to come back before the end of May.
Cliff Lee - Abdominal
Looks
like he'll be back at the beginning of May.
Ian Kinsler -Ankle
Considering
his injury history, the Rangers will take their time.
Coco Crisp - Finger
There’s
a broad timeline of 3-8 weeks before he returns. Mid-May seems like a reasonable guess.
Russell Branyan - Back
On
rehab, should be back by Week 3-4.
Freddy Sanchez - Shoulder
Making
progress, but the first place Giants aren't taking any chances.
Brandon Webb - Shoulder
Just
like we've constantly warned - you're going to have to wait until summer before
you'll see him on the mound.
Daisuke Matsuzaka – Back
On
rehab in AAA, be wary of the dreaded setback.
Ted Lilly – Shoulder
Set
to start rehab in a week, look for a return at the beginning of May.
Kerry Wood - Back
Probably
won't return this month.
Lance Berkman - Knee
The
Astros need him desperately; he'll push to get back in the lineup before April ends.
Brad Lidge - Elbow
He
plans to start rehab near the end of April.
Carlos Beltran - Knee
Beltran
still hasn't been cleared for baseball activities, be happy if you see him in
May.
RECENT INJURIES
Miguel Montero - Knee
No
ligament damage was found so he is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Mike Gonzalez - Shoulder
He
says he felt fine recently, but the numbers sure didn't show it.
Brian Roberts - Abdominal
Battled
injury throughout Spring Training and he just received his second
epidural. He’s going to need more time.
Chris R. Young - Shoulder
The
same shoulder he had surgery on flared up, he expects to miss the minimum time.
Jimmy Rollins - Calf
The
Phillies placed his timetable at 4-6 weeks.
Aaron Hill - Hamstring
This
has precautionary move all over it, Hill should be back when eligible on April
23.
Brian Fuentes - Back
Again,
the Angels seem to be taking it easy with Fuentes.
